FCI Registered Kennel
Welcome to SMDogs!
My name is Marek Sot.
Dogs have been a part of my life for as long as I can remember.
In my family home, my parents always had a large dog — among them a Polish Tatra Sheepdog, a German Shepherd, and a large mixed-breed dog, a cross between a Scottish Terrier and a German Shepherd. Thanks to this, they instilled in me a love for animals and helped me develop a deeper understanding of their behaviour and the ways they communicate. I learned that even a simple look can carry great meaning.
When I entered adulthood and joined the Police, I quickly realised that I wanted to work with dogs. Over the thirty years of my service, I got to know dogs, trained them — at first under the supervision of instructors and later independently — and worked with them in everyday police service. My patrol and tracking dogs performed protection tasks and searched for human scent trails.
Several times, I took part in the Police K9 Championships held at the Police Dog Training Centre in Sułkowice. Each year, thirty-four police officers with their dogs qualified for the competition from all over Poland — two from each province.
In 2010, I selected and prepared a four-month-old German Shepherd PEDRO puppy for work in the Police. He was given the service name EKOL. Together, in 2014, we achieved second place in the individual category. Thanks also to the third individual place won by my colleague from Greater Poland Voivodeship, our team won the Polish Police Team Championship.
I consider this a very special personal achievement, as it confirmed the effectiveness of my approach to working with dogs — an approach in which socialisation, mutual understanding and daily cooperation lead to outstanding results.

After this success, I was promoted to the position of coordinator at the Provincial Police Headquarters in Poznań, where I was responsible for training police dog handlers and their dogs, as well as for selecting dogs for police service.
Representing the Greater Poland Police from 2017 as team leader, we twice achieved first place — in 2018 and 2019 — winning the Police K9 Championships. Later, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the championships were cancelled for three years.
Just one year after retiring, my family and I decided that I wanted to continue my passion — working with dogs. For this purpose, I joined the Polish Kennel Club in order to build a kennel from the ground up, based on my own knowledge and experience.
For the first mother of my puppies, I chose ODA from the Marshall Dogs kennel (FCI). After two years of preparation for this role, she obtained the FCI Breeding Female Certificate. On 6 March 2026, JUSSUF VOM HAUS MECKI became the father of wonderful puppies who mark the beginning of the history of the Specialized Malinois Dogs kennel (FCI).
Our breeding priorities are focused above all on maintaining the genetic integrity of the breed. The parents of our puppies are distinguished not only by their excellent working qualities, but also by documented genetic purity confirmed through laboratory testing. More details can be found in the “Documents” and “Medical Documents” sections.
SOCIALISATION is the key developmental process in a puppy’s life. From the very first moments after birth, we actively participate in the puppies’ lives around the clock. As a result, human presence becomes as natural and constant to them as the presence of their mother. This helps them naturally accept people — simply because people have always been there. Later on, this has a positive impact on the learning process, as the puppy finds it easier and faster to trust its future handler while taking on new challenges.
Constant contact and relationship-building are extremely important to us. Although there are several puppies in a litter, each of them receives individual attention and time. We make sure their needs are met through play, shared presence, closeness and cuddling during their frequent naps.
Setting challenges and properly rewarding perseverance is another important element of raising puppies. Even at just four weeks of age, this approach helps them learn much faster how to take on challenges and overcome difficulties.
Health, together with nutrition, is one of the most important aspects of breeding. We constantly monitor weight gain, and the ongoing veterinary supervision of our female ODA Marshall Dogs and her puppies is provided by TriVet Veterinary Clinic in Jarocin. We document all deworming, vaccinations and other veterinary procedures.
Nutrition — during the first four weeks of life, the puppies are fed exclusively on their mother’s milk. After that, ROYAL CANIN Maxi Starter Mother & Babydog is gradually introduced, along with egg yolk to provide natural vitamins.
Our kennel is not focused on commercial breeding or reducing quality for the sake of mass sales. Quite the opposite. We believe that every dog of ours is unique. That is why we put great care into everything connected with bringing puppies into the world.
Our dream is that you will give your dog your time, attention, kindness and understanding. By choosing to raise one of our dogs, you must be ready not only for a volcano of endless energy, but also for true emotions: friendship, constant companionship, unconditional loyalty and so much love that you will not find it anywhere else. That is why a person who decides to take on this responsibility is also truly special.
We are always available to support the guardians of our dogs with advice by phone or WhatsApp.
Warm regards,
The SMDogs Team
